Saturday February 4th Local 144 sent 16 members to the Fight for Air Event in Boston sponsored by the American Lung Association. As of today members of Local 144 have raised $5950 for this event.
This was Brockton's first time competing in the event. Firefighters climbed 41 stories in full firefighter gear at a hi-rise located in the Financial District of Boston.
Of the 39 firefighter teams that came from all over New England Brockton placed 7th. The team is already looking forward to next year.
